Motivational Speaker, Certified Coach, Entrepreneur, are just some of her accomplishments. Joi Stanley-Smith is Founder of Progressive Achievers, (Women of Power, Inspiring Young Mentors, Girl Talk). Founded in 2006, Joi serves as President of an organization dedicated to the Empowerment, Motivation and Education of Women and Girls nationwide. Joi launched the “Being Your Best You” campaign in 2012 where she is helping women/girls understand the importance of being their best! Her goal is to have women/girls to invest in themselves to identify the real “FEAR” behind what is keeping them from reaching their greatest potential. Her accomplishments span across various fields of which she is also Founder/Co-owner of Shades of Color (LocSoc), Vice President of International Association of Certified Wedding Consultants, President of the New Jersey Minority Business Awards, Director of “”Weddings for Us” Bridal, Regional Director Atlanta Business Journal. Her contributions are such as ABC, NBC, Atlanta Business Journal,” Weddings For Us”, WNJW – Radio, WBLS –Radio, Tom Joyner Morning Show.
Mrs. Stanley-Smith is a graduate of Rutgers University where she holds a Master’s Degree. A native of New Jersey, she would give back to her community for over 20 years by mastering the male dominated mortgage industry. Stanley-Smith would be a net-branch owner of First Equity Home Loans for nearly a decade, then transition to the World’s Leading Mortgage Company, Wells Fargo, where she would hold the position of Retail Sales Manager and Diverse Segments Manager.
To her credit, Joi sits on the Board of Directors for, NAACP-Metuchen Edison, N.J, Board of Directors -St. James Community Services, and serves as Executive Board Member to the Georgia Minority Business Awards. She is a member of Women’s Leadership Exchange, National Association of Female Executives, National Coalition of Negro Women, A Certified Compass Life Coach and a member of the International Coaches Federation. Mrs. Stanley-Smith was also awarded the President of the Year Award by the NAACP, 2012 for her dedication to continued community service.
Joi Stanley-Smith states “I want my legacy to be one where I lived my life on purpose. Knowing that I had a direct impact on Women and Young Girls, helping them to understand the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, yet knowing it starts from within… I strive to deliver a message where Women understand the importance of ‘BEING THEIR BEST’, only then, will we become better caregivers, better human beings, better citizens”!
